Improving Quality with Effective Stakeholder Management

Stakeholder management is an essential part of a quality professional’s role. Improving Quality with Effective Stakeholder Management is a CQI e-learning course that will help you learn how to recognise and address the expectations of a variety of stakeholders. You’ll be encouraged to reflect on your strengths and areas for improvement, enabling you to build strong and effective working relationships.

During this 90-minute course, you’ll explore scenarios involving quality professionals, examples, activities, and guided reflections, giving you the skills to communicate with impact, build lasting relationships, and navigate varied interests with confidence.

Once you've completed the course, you'll be able to:

  • Define what a stakeholder is and identify both internal and external stakeholders relevant to your role and organisation.
  • Understand how to distinguish stakeholder requirements and expectations within quality contexts.
  • Recognise the importance of self-awareness, communication styles and personality traits in building effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Utilise feedback and reflection to continuously improve your stakeholder management skills and deliver better quality outcomes.
  • Apply practical tools and techniques to map stakeholders and analyse their influence and interest to maximise engagement.
  • Develop approaches to adapt your communication and engagement strategy for different stakeholder groups and scenarios.

Technical requirements: You’ll need a stable internet connection to run the course, and an internet browser (Edge, Safari, Firefox or Chrome). The course will work on all screen sizes, but we recommend using a tablet or larger screen for the best experience.
