Karine Rackham, Head of Quality, Sellafield Ltd (Chair)

With 30-years’ experience in quality management, Karine has a significant track record of shaping strategies and driving improvements, at operational and enterprise levels, and improving quality capabilities and systems to enable delivery in Nuclear. Her academic background in maths, statistics and business management provided the foundation for her career in Quality; advancing into strategic roles has given her the opportunity to create strong culture and increase the value for Quality. Karine is the lead for the CQI Nuclear Network and a member of IOSH and WiN; she is passionate about promoting diversity and helping quality professionals unlock their potential.

 

Anna Dootson, Quality Degree Apprentice, Sellafield Ltd (Nuclear Network Event Co-ordinator)

Anna started her career in Quality in 2023, when she joined the Quality Degree Apprenticeship scheme. Her interest in Quality sparked from her A-Level Business Studies, and engaging with Quality professionals in the nuclear industry.

Anna has developed her skills in problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication, which will be invaluable in her future career by enabling her to ensure high standards and continuous improvement. She has embraced opportunities to work with industry groups to help promote quality as a career of choice, and looks forward to the endless opportunities that a career in Quality provides.
