Proficiency testing to assess competence and quality of testing/measurement

Session outline:

Proficiency testing (PT) is a method used to externally assess the competence and quality of testing or measurement activities utilised in laboratories or other organisations. It's a way to ensure that these entities are performing at the required level of accuracy and reliability. It is a valuable tool for ensuring the quality and repeatability of testing and measurement activities across various sectors.

PT helps organisations maintain high standards, identify areas for improvement, and demonstrate their competence to internal and external stakeholders. In some cases, the participation is mandatory for regulatory or industry sector approvals. For this reason, PT is a quality compliance-critical process for some organisations, which is requiring close governance with expert knowledge to ensure the requirements are consistently met.

This webinar discusses the principles of PT and how the introduction of a digital management system can reduce risks to accreditation and approvals.
