January

In this issue of Quality World we take a look at mentoring and speak with four people who have been involved in the mentoring programme about what they have learned from the support that they are offering each other. This issue also features the launch of the CQI and IRCA strategy for 2030.

February

Quality culture, standards development and technology are hot topics and the importance of standards is a key theme in these areas. This issue of Quality World includes articles on blockchain technology and supply chains; how standards need to adapt to take cybersecurity into account; and plans for a new ISO standard for improving quality cultures.

March

Advances in technology will undoubtedly affect how we work in the future, but social, environmental, political and economic changes will also impact our world. The CQI’s The Future of Work report explores how these factors will shape the future workplace, and how we can prepare. Quality World also speaks to some inspiring women who are leading the way in quality improvement.

April

This issue of Quality World features two industries where rigorous environmental standards are required – food and leather making – and a feature on the benefits of Total Productive Maintenance. In addition, a new auditing dilemma column is introduced and the importance of risk measurement is highlighted.

May/June

This edition of Quality World looks at how Covid-19 has affected the quality profession globally, the lessons learned from it, and how organisations and individuals are adapting. There are also a range of ‘how to’ pieces and technical resources to support quality professionals during this time.

July/August

This issue of Quality World features the problem of unsustainable fast fashion and how three companies are fighting back. There are interviews with CQI Quality Award winners Jacobs and Tofaş, and the new Secretary General of the European Organization for Quality. Other highlights are an overview of quality in Pakistan, a BSI scheme to identify vulnerable customers and a business transforming itself to help the fight against Covid-19.

September/October

This issue of Quality World focuses on Customer 4.0, the customer-led revolution. Creating customer value is more than just being able to identify and meet your customers’ needs; it helps your business to thrive. We highlight the CQI’s special interest groups and the Nuclear Next Generation Working Group. Covid-19 continues to be a focus, with articles on fast-track accreditation for laboratories and risk management.

November/December

This issue of Quality World focuses on disruption, with articles on how companies are dealing with change management, risk, Brexit and Covid-19.
