Session outline: David Edwards, a Director of Managing for Quality (MfQ), delivers a presentation on Auditing ISO 19443 Specific Requirements for the application of ISO 9001:2015 by organisations in the supply chain of the nuclear energy sector supplying products and services important to nuclear safety (ITNS).
This presentation provides an overview of how to audit against ISO 19443, including the knowledge and experience that auditors need to audit effectively against the standard. It will also cover some of the common pitfalls and issues that auditors face when auditing against the standard.
Speaker information: David has extensive experience of delivery of training, consulting and auditing services to a wide variety of sectors including nuclear, chemical, public sector, military and healthcare. He has over 35 years experience of quality and management systems in the nuclear sector.
David spent 10 years in the civil nuclear industry with BNFL in a variety of roles and has provided consulting and training services to many nuclear sector organisations since MfQ was formed in 1990. He is an IRCA registered QMS Lead Auditor and EMS Lead Auditor and is a member of the NucSIG Steering Group.
